How to Ride

  • Boarding: You can enter through any door.
    • If you are paying with Cash or IC cards (Suica, PASMO, ICOCA, etc.), you do not need to touch or scan anything when entering.
    • Note: People scanning their smartphones are using a specific local service.
  • Exiting & Payment: Exit through the door where the driver or conductor is stationed.
    • IC Cards (Suica, etc.): Tap your card on the reader next to the driver/conductor to pay.
    • Cash / Day Pass: Pay or show your pass to the driver/conductor.
    • Note: Only local service users can exit through the other doors.

Fares

  • Flat Rate: Adults ¥240 / Children ¥120.
    • Important: Japan Rail Pass (JR Pass) is NOT accepted.

  • 1-Day Pass

Tips

  • 1-Day Streetcar & Ferry Pass (¥1,000): If you are going to Miyajima, this pass is highly recommended as it covers the tram, the ferry, and the Miyajima Visitor Tax.
  • Note: This pass is valid ONLY for the Miyajima Matsudai Kisen ferry. It cannot be used for the JR Ferry.
